Publish-and-Read-Agreement with Wiley in place
The renegotiations have been ongoing since the fall of 2022. As of April 28th, Sikt confirms that a new Publish-and-Read agreement with Wiley is in place for 2023.
Sikt negotiates Publish-and-Read Agreements with some of the leading academic publishers on behalf of the consortia members, where OsloMet is included. The agreements provide funding for publishing fees (APCs) for Open Access publishing in the publisher’s hybrid (subscription) journals.
As of December of last year, Sikt reported that the renegotiations with the publishers Sage, Taylor & Francis og Wiley were at a standstill (page in Norwegian). Sikt has now successfully renegotiated new agreements for 2023 with all of the above publishers.
OsloMet will adhere to the Wiley agreement, hereby providing funding for OsloMet’s faculty for Open Access publishing in the publisher’s hybrid journals. Included in the agreement is an option to include publishing in Gold Open Access journals. OsloMet will enter into this agreement, so that Article Publishing Charges for publishing in Open Access journals for faculty are covered.
