UH Sak ended

21 institutions in the university and college has sector cancelled UH Sak as the new service for case processing and documentation management.

Even though the agreed parts of the delivery have been approved, it is uncertain whether the solution will meet the needs for case handling and preservation of documentation in a satisfactory way.

OsloMet will therefore continue with Public 360 as a case processing system in the coming years, and SIKT has extended the agreement on Public 360 until 2030.

UH Sak was a joint service, to be provided from Sikt to the UH sector, for case handling, documentation management, and service development. The agreement that is now ending was entered into between 21 institutions in the university and college sector including OsloMet, and the supplier is Sopra Steria.

A lot of work has been put down at OsloMet related to the implementation of UH Sak. It is regrettable that we have to stop UH Sak, but it is the right decision due to the great uncertainty in the project, says Director of Division Organization and Infrastructure Vigdis By Kampenes.

Responsible to draw the line

The director at NMBU, Lars Atle Holm, has led the owner group for UH Sak.

"Our assessment is that it is most responsible to draw the line here. Since the fall of 2023, the uncertainty has increased, especially about the functionality and quality of the solution being good enough for the users. There have also been major delays in the development work", says Holm.

The project's steering committee emphasizes that there is still a basis for further sector cooperation on the digitalization of administrative joint services.

"The sector will continue to cooperate on common solutions, and we take with us a lot of good groundwork that the institutions can build on in future work with case processing and documentation management", says Roar Tobro, leader of the steering committee for UH Sak.
