Elections to the university board and faculty boards
This spring, elections will again be held for board members in temporary teaching and research positions (UF positions) for the university board and the faculty boards at OsloMet.
One member and one deputy member will be elected to all boards, with a term of one year from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027.
Who can nominate and vote?
Because the members to be elected come from temporary UF staff, only temporary UF staff can nominate candidates and vote.
Nomination from 13 March
From 13 March to 14 April, you can nominate your candidates for the positions. You may also nominate yourself. You can nominate candidates for the university board and for the faculty board of the faculty where you are employed.
To be an eligible candidate, you must:
- be temporarily employed in a teaching or research position at OsloMet in a 50 per cent position or more
- not have a permanent position as your main employment, as this would classify you as permanent rather than temporary staff
- have had continuous employment since 30 April 2026
- not be on leave to work elsewhere than OsloMet
There are separate nomination forms for the university board and the faculty boards. Here you can find more information about nomination, nomination forms, and the election.
Election period from 18 to 26 May
The elections for members of the university board and the faculty boards take place in parallel.
This means that those eligible to vote can cast their vote both for their faculty board and in the university board election.
The election period is from 18 to 26 May. Voting takes place electronically.
All eligible voters will receive an email with a link for voting in week 21 (18–22 May). Before this, you should have received an email confirming that you are listed in the electoral register. This will be sent in week 12 (16–20 March). If you have not received such an email but believe you are eligible to vote in this election, please contact the election secretariat by emailing Anders Dahle at anders.dahle@oslomet.no
