
Call for proposals: Seed funding for research projects connected to Intelligent health
Intelligent Health at OsloMet announces up to NOK 3 million in seed funding for 2025-2026 for ongoing and planned research projects at the faculty for health sciences (HV) and faculty for technology, art and design (TKD).
The seed funding is intended to stimulate increased research activity in health and technology among researchers at OsloMet, in collaboration with external partners (public and/or private sector). Intelligent Health can assist researchers to connect with external partners.
Each project can apply for a maximum of NOK 500 000. The funds must be used within a maximum two-year period (2025-2026). A budget must be provided for each year. The funds can be used to cover both salary and operating costs for the research projects.
The research must be in line with the Intelligent health initiative (oslomet.no).
Requirements for submission
- The application must be cleared with the head of department
- The project manager must be employed in a permanent scientific position at HV or TKD
- It is possible to take part in several applications, but any individual applicant can only be project manager on one submitted project
- The application can be written in Norwegian or English
Requirements for the application
The application must:
- Be multidisciplinary and contain significant aspects of both health and technology
- Contain collaboration with the public and/or private sector
- Be feasible within the duration of the project
- Show how the project and results will have short- or long-term impact
- Be in line with the Intelligent health initiative
- Describe the expected outcomes/deliverables (for example communication activities, infrastructure, involvement of students, activities)
- Describe how the seed funding will increase the competitiveness for future external funding

The application must not exceed five pages in total (including abstract and references). Deadline for submission is 20.12.2024, at 11:59 p.m. See nettskjema for more information of the contents of the application.
Funding allocation
- The allocation will be made in the beginning of February 2025. It is expected that the project will start directly after
- A short annual report must be submitted for each funded project (1 December each year)
