Safety in buildings and opening hours this summer

In July, the common areas in OsloMet's buildings are open to employees and students between 08.00 and 21.00. After 16.00 on weekdays and at weekends you must have an access card and PIN code to enter.

This applies both in Pilestredet and at Kjeller.

Department of Facilities Management at OsloMet asks us to be extra careful this summer when it comes to security in our buildings.

“We sometimes have unwanted activity on campus, such as theft of laptops that are left unattended”, says Head of Section for Technical Operations/Maintenance, Marianne Fugløy Lidstrøm.

“This is a risk we have to live with, but we encourage everyone to be extra careful", says Fugløy Lidstrøm.

Technical equipment should not be left in common areas. If you see something unregulated, call security on 40 911 000. The number is also on the back of the access card for employees and students.

The Service center at Kjeller is staffed with security during the day.

Counter at Kjeller: Closed (open Wednesday 28 June from 9.00-15.00) - if necessary, contact the Service center at Kjeller for assistance in getting in touch with IT

“This year we have the counter open in P46, and we have good routines to meet the needs at Kjeller”, says Susanne Iversen Sandvær, Head of Section for Customer and Servicedesk.

“For inquiries at Kjeller, do not hesitate to get in touch, we are available both by phone and e-mail, and open for appointments”, she says.
