New Exam Solution on the Way – What You Need to Know

Starting in autumn 2025, students, staff, and examiners will gradually transition to a new exam system.

Everyone affected by the change will receive information and the necessary training well in advance of the switch to the new solution.

Timeline

OsloMet currently uses  Inspera Assessment (Inspera) and will gradually transition to WISEflow:

Autumn 2025:

  • Inspera will still be used for most digital exams.

  • Training on how to use WISEflow will begin.

  • WISEflow will be used in selected assessments and exams during autumn 2025.

Spring 2026:

  • WISEflow will be used for most digital exams.

  • End of use of Inspera at the end of spring 2026

  • Preservation of important exam-related information.

The transition plan and the order in which exams will be conducted in WISEflow will be developed in collaboration with the faculties.

You will be notified when it's your turn to start using WISEflow, and everyone will receive support during the transition.

Why Is OsloMet Switching from Inspera to WISEflow?

UNIwise and their exam solution WISEflow were selected through a joint procurement process as the new digital exam platform for the higher education sector in early 2025 by Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research (sikt.no).

WISEflow is already an established exam platform in the sector. Now OsloMet, along with several other institutions, will adopt WISEflow.

“The tools provided by Sikt for digital learning environments are essential work tools. The systems are user-friendly and reliable,” says OsloMet’s  Director of academic affairs, Håkon Solberg.

Project Organization

The transition from Inspera to WISEflow is a collaborative project across OsloMet.

The project is led by the Section for Digitalization of Education (DIU) in the Department of Academic affairs. All faculties are contributing, along with several others.

Training will be provided with the support of Digin (oslomet.no), and universal design of exam assignments will be emphasized.

Seminar with the WISEflow

The provider of WISEflow, UNIwise, is organizing a seminar at OsloMet open to the entire sector on June 10. Participation is based on a first come, first served basis. The seminar may be useful for both Inspera superusers and others who will be working with WISEflow.

The seminar will take place on June 10, 2025, from 10:00 to 16:00 at Pilestredet.

Contact your Inspera superuser for more information in Norwegian (oslomet.gitbook.io).
