The proposal for a new strategy - hearing process

The proposal for a new strategy for OsloMet from 2024 is now being sent on a hearing process in the organisation. Input is also requested for sub-strategies.

- We hope for good involvement and look forward to receiving feedback from all units, says rector Christen Krogh.

Work on the new strategy started last autumn. In the past year, there have been management meetings, board seminars, strategy workshops, strategy squares, input rounds and open strategy meetings for all students and employees where the organisation has been involved.

A written hearing process is now being carried out at OsloMet, where feedback is requested on the proposal for a new strategy.

-  The proposal for a new strategy describes the commitments we want to take on in order to meet challenges facing society, and contribute to societal improvements in a twenty-year perspective, says Krogh.

Asks for input also on sub-strategies

In the follow-up to the new strategy, sub-strategies must be created for the statutory tasks; education, research and development, and contribution to societal improvements.

For each of the three areas, targets must be set that can form the basis for priorities. The sub-strategies will have a time horizon of 5 to 10 years.

In the hearing process, input is requested, at an overall level, on what OsloMet should focus on, strengthen and change within the three areas for which we will have sub-strategies.

Deadline 20 October

The deadline for the hearing process is 20 October.

Proposals for strategy will be presented to the new university board during the autumn. It is planned that the sub-strategies will also be adopted by the board, but at a later time than the main strategy, and after broad participation and involvement.
