Employee display name - now adjustable

After the introduction of the new sector solution for Identity Access Management (IAM), the display name of employees is the full registered name. It is now possible to limit the number of names that appear on OsloMet's website.

After the introduction of IAM OsloMet in collaboration with Sikt, Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research, work to improve the solution.

The option to change your display name and job title on the employee profile on oslomet.no is now back. However, this only applies to the display name on our websites oslomet.no and the employee pages, and not in Microsoft Office 365, such as Teams and Outlook.

The employee's display name is the full registered name. It is now possible to limit the number of names displayed. You can make the changes yourself in the same way as before on the employee pages. Here you can read more about how to do it.

HR staff have worked to correct reported errors, so take a look and check if your page is updated before submitting a change request.

Opens for alternative e-mail address

The e-mail address of new employees now consists of digits and numbers. Several people report that they want to be able to use an alternative address with their first and last name. Work is underway to find a solution for this in the near future.

The changes have been made based on feedback from the organisation and the university's management meeting. An interdisciplinary team continues to work on corrections and improvements.
