OsloMet Academy

OsloMet Academy will offer competence and career development initiatives to all employees at OsloMet. Specific courses and programs will be made available for managers, lecturers, researchers and administrative staff across the organization. The academy’s role is to give you the opportunity to develop your knowledge, skills and abilities in order to adapt to the current and future tasks and requirements at work.

Research and innovation are in constant motion, with uncertain and unexpected effects. Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) is an approach that aims to steer research and innovation towards societally desirable ends. The Research Council of Norway and the European Framework Programmes for Research use RRI when they evaluate whether new research and innovation projects may deliver societal benefits or contribute to addressing grand societal challenges. This module will provide a general introduction to the concept of RRI, as well as practical tools that you can use in your own work and research.

Knowing how to find your way around databases is useful when working on your PhD project. This course explores some of the key multidisciplinary databases and a selection of subject-specific databases of relevance to the participants.
