Election to the University Board and the Faculty Boards

This spring, there is an election of board members in temporary teaching and research positions to the University Board and Faculty Boards at OsloMet. The nomination period is from April 3 to April 30.

One member and one deputy member are to be elected to the University Board and the Faculty Boards, for the period of August 1, 2024, until July 31, 2025.

Who can nominate and vote?

Because members in temporary teaching or research positions (UF) are to be elected, only temporary UF employees can nominate candidates and vote.

Nomination until April 30

From April 3 to April 30, you can nominate your candidates for the positions. You can also nominate yourself. You can nominate candidates for the University Board, and for the Faculty Board at the faculty where you are employed.

To be a valid candidate, one must:

  • be temporary employed in a teaching or research position at OsloMet in at least a 50 percent position or more
  • have had continuous employment since April 30, 2024 at the latest
  • not be on leave to work elsewhere than OsloMet

There are different nomination forms for the University Board and the Faculty Boards. Here you will find more information about nomination, nomination forms, and the election.

Election period from May 14 to 28

The elections of members to the University Board and the Faculty Boards take place in parallel. This means that if you have the right to vote, you can vote both at the faculty you belong to and at the University Board election.

The election period is from May 14 to May 28. The elections take place electronically.

All eligible voters will receive an email with a link to vote in week 20 (May 13-17). Before this, you should have received an email stating that you are on the electoral roll. This will come in week 18 (April 29-May 3).

If you have not received such an email but believe that you should be able to vote in this election, please contact the election secretariat by Anders Dahle (andersd@oslomet.no).
