Call for proposals: Seed funding for research projects connected to intelligent health

Intelligent Health announces up to NOK 1.5 million in seed funding for 2023 for ongoing and planned research projects at the HV faculty and TKD faculty, in line with the intelligent health initiative.

The seed funding is intended to stimulate increased research activity related to intelligent health among researchers at OsloMet, in collaboration with external participants.

The application framework for a project is a maximum of NOK 500 000. The funds must be used within a maximum three-year period (2023-2025).  

An annual operating budget must be supplied for each of the years for which funding is received. The funds can be used to cover both salary and operating costs for research projects. 

How are applications assessed? 

  • The application must be based at HV and/or TKD.  
  • The project must include research relating to both health and technology. 
  • Grant applications must describe plans to increase future collaboration between the health and technology disciplines and with the public and/or private sectors, both with respect to scope and quality. 
  • Grant applications should outline specific plans for securing external funding, scientific co-publication and/or collaboration on bachelor's, master's and/or PhD projects. 
  • Priority will be given to projects involving the public and/or private sector. 
  • It will be an advantage if the project can provide an assessment of impact and innovation potential. 

How to apply? 

Fill out the online application form and upload the project description (upload Word or PDF) (nettskjema.no).

The application must not exceed five pages in total. The application must be submitted by 20 December, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. 

About allocation of funding and the application 

  • The decision regarding the grants will be made by 1 February, 2023. It is expected that the project will start directly after. 
  • It is possible to take part in several applications, but any individual applicant can only be project manager on one project. 
  • The application must be approved by the head of department. 
  • Project manager must be a full-time employee at OsloMet.
