New phone fraud security service
OsloMet employees now have the new security service SvindelSperre (FraudBlock) included in their work phone numbers and OsloMet mobile subscriptions.
The service protects against so-called wangiri calls, where fraudsters call from an international number hoping you will call back so they can charge you for the call.
SvindelSperre is a free service that warns you via a voice message if you try to call back to a foreign number suspected of fraud. This is stated by Telia in a press release.
The goal is to limit phone fraud to an even greater extent. It requires no downloads or extra apps.
