
Status for the Wage Settlement
The local wage negotiations will take place at the beginning of the new year, and the payment of the settlement is expected in April.
Delays in the central wage settlement in the state have had a ripple effect, resulting in local wage negotiations at OsloMet only starting at the beginning of 2025.
Most likely, OsloMet will have to apply for an extension of the state's deadline for completing local negotiations, which is February 15, 2025.
"Unfortunately, we see that we probably won't be able to meet the deadline for the negotiations. This is due to our desire to conduct individual negotiations, which takes time to do properly. We have our next meeting with the unions on December 17, where we will address this issue," says HR Director Randi Stene.
"We would have liked the waiting time for the employees to be shorter, and I can assure you that we are doing everything we can to be ready by March 2025," she says.
Employees at OsloMet can then expect the settlement to be paid out with the April salary.

This Was Decided in the National Wage Arbitration
There will still be two agreement areas: the LO-YS agreement and the Akademikerne-Unio agreement.
The LO-YS Agreement
- End of salary steps – annual salary is stated in kroner.
- The effective date of the wage settlement is May 1, 2024.
- Everyone receives a central increase of 0.75% on their annual salary (25% of the available frame). The DFØ has stated that the increase will be paid retroactively at the earliest in February 2025.
- 2.15% of the payroll for the members is set aside for local 2.5.1 negotiations (75% of the available frame) to be distributed after negotiations.
The Akademikerne-Unio Agreement

The local parties have the entire allocation, 2.7% of the payroll, to negotiate within this agreement area.

There are three different effective dates, based on when the strikes were stopped by compulsory arbitration:
