Rector on sick leave for one month
Rector Christen Krogh has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and will be on sick leave for the coming month from 24 March in connection with treatment.
“Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in Norway, with more than 5,000 new cases each year. Many men are affected, and I believe it is important to be open about the diagnosis,” says Christen Krogh.
The rector is expected to be on sick leave until 21 April.
“Fortunately, we have a good healthcare system in Norway, and the prognosis following surgery is very good. I look forward to returning to work after completing my sick leave,” says Krogh.
During the period when Christen Krogh is absent, pro-rector for research and development at OsloMet, Tanja Storsul, will serve as rector at OsloMet. Any questions during this time may be directed to Tanja Storsul or Emelie Höglund in the rector’s staff.
We wish the rector all the best with the treatment and a speedy recovery.
