OsloMetDoc is now OsloMet RISE

OsloMetDoc has now officially changed its name to OsloMet RISE – Researchers in Short-term Engagement.

The official interest organisation represents PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and other researchers in temporary academic positions at OsloMet.

All PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers at OsloMet are members by default. Other researchers in temporary academic positions at OsloMet may apply for membership.

Strengthening conditions

“We believe that strong research environments depend on researchers who feel secure, supported, and engaged. Our mission is to strengthen the professional, structural, and social conditions for researchers in temporary positions,” says Ebrahim Ghorbani of RISE.

RISE has representatives in central committees, networks, and working groups, provides input on matters affecting PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers, highlights challenges related to employment, and organises academic and social events.
