New network for teaching in English

Sharing experiences can strengthen the quality of teaching in English and provide international students with an even better study experience at OsloMet.

A network for lecturers teaching English-taught courses has been established on the initiative of the Faculty of Education and International Studies (LUI). The network will serve as a forum for sharing experiences, useful tips, support and professional development.

"By pooling expertise, highlighting best practice and discussing questions related to internationalisation in education, we create an important academic community and a support system for lecturers teaching in English," says Roger André Federici, Dean of the Faculty of Education and International Studies (LUI).

International learning environment

OsloMet welcomes around 450 students each year from more than 25 countries. These students contribute to a more international learning environment, bringing diversity and new perspectives.

The student groups are diverse, which offers great opportunities as well as academic challenges that are useful to share within the network.

One meeting per semester

One physical meeting per semester is planned, along with a Teams group. The network held its first meeting in November, and the next meeting will take place on 3 March next year. All lecturers teaching English-taught courses at OsloMet are welcome Sign up here.

Interdisciplinary working group

The network is coordinated by an interdisciplinary working group representing both the faculty and the shared administration.
