Incident outside Pilestredet Campus 

There was an explosion Tuesday evening September 23 in Parkveien outside OsloMet’s campus at Pilestredet, and the police detonated explosives that were reportedly thrown onto the street. 

Police and security personnel at OsloMet evacuated the buildings facing Pilestredet 46–52 and spoke with students who were present in the buildings.

There are police blockings inside the campus and in the surrounding area to prevent people from approaching the scene.

We have no information indicating that employees or students at OsloMet have been affected by the incident. We also have no information about physical injuries related to OsloMet.

The buildings at Pilestredet are now closed. This also applies to the 24-hour reading room at Pilestredet 48. The buildings will reopen tomorrow morning, Wednesday, September 24, at 06:00.

Based on the information we currently have, it should be safe to come to the Pilestredet campus tomorrow. We will provide a new update tomorrow morning, Wednesday, September 24, at 07:15.
