Cristin content changes on personal profiles
Publications, keywords, and research areas registered in the Cristin research database are imported into the personal profiles displayed on oslomet.no. From September 26th, we will see some changes.
The changes will affect how publications and research results are displayed on personal profiles:
- Researchers who have experienced issues with publications and research results not appearing on their personal profiles will now have them included.
- Publisher information will be added to some research reports where it was missing.
- There will be no links to journals.
- DOI (digital object identifier) links will be displayed when available.
- Chapter numbers for parts of a book may be missing.
- The order of publications within a year will change if the publication month is not available.
Keep your personal profile up to date
The personal profile pages are highly visited, with over 700,000 views and 30,000 clicks from Google in the past year. A well-maintained profile page makes you visible to students, colleagues, and collaborators.
On your personal profile, there is a field you can edit yourself as a supplement to all the information imported from Cristin and other systems. Here's how you do it:
- Log in to the employee website. Click on "Menu" and select "Edit profile."
- Add a text describing your research areas and keep it updated.
Background
Cristin (cristin.no) is one of the many shared services within higher education and research provided by Sikt (sikt.no). When changes and developments occur in systems which are integrated with our websites, it affects how information from these systems is displayed on our platforms. OsloMet has limited influence on this display.
The further development of Cristin is seen in conjunction with the development of the National Knowledge Archive (NVA). Cristin and NVA are set to become a single service (Cris/NVA) providing a comprehensive overview of Norwegian research and open access to publications.
The Department of ICT, the Department of Research and Development, and the Department of External Relations and Communications collaborate to ensure that personal profiles continue to retrieve information from Cristin in the best possible way.
Where can I report errors?
