Collaboration between technology and health
Two faculties at OsloMet have joined forces to create innovation, which can contribute to improvements in our health services in the future.
Intelligent health initiative at OsloMet (oslomet.no) is a collaboration between the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design.
With increasing challenges in the health sector, an aging population and more people living with chronic diseases, health innovations are becoming absolutely necessary. The Intelligent health initiative will work on that.
The interaction between health and technology has the potential to improve health services, public health and ensure that individuals have the opportunity to live a healthier and longer life.
Collaboration across faculties
The collaboration between health and technology gives the different professional areas and professionals different perspectives.
"It provides an opportunity to look at the issues facing the health sector and public health from different points of view. With an expanded understanding of the issues related to health and technology, opportunities are created for innovative solutions that will be absolutely necessary in the healthcare services of the future," says Vibeke Telle-Hansen, academic responsibility Intelligent health.
The Intelligent Health Conference 2023
The Intelligent Health Conference 2023 will be organized before the summer. The purpose is to contribute to network building across sectors and professional fields. You can expect to hear from expert speakers and gain new insights into the use of digital technologies for improved health services, with particular focus on artificial intelligence and wearable devices and applications.
