Campus development plan 2026–2036 completed

The plan, which will be used to guide and prioritise measures in the years ahead, has a 10‑year perspective from 2026 to 2036.

During the period from 2024 to 2025, extensive mapping work has been carried out on OsloMet’s various buildings and outdoor areas. Several meetings have been held with students and staff to better understand how our spaces are used and how they function.

Strategic development

“The mapping has revealed both strengths and needs for change. The plan provides direction for the continued development of the university’s physical framework,” says Rector Christen Krogh.

The campus development plan is based on Pilestredet, as clarifications are still underway regarding both the location and design of the campus in Lillestrøm.

“However, it is an ambition that OsloMet’s students and staff should experience the same functionality and quality in buildings and spaces, regardless of location,” says Director of Organisation and Infrastructure, Vigdis By Kampenes.

“Development and improvement themes for Campus Pilestredet may therefore also be considered for OsloMet’s other campuses and buildings, where relevant,” By Kampenes explains.

Which measures are decided and in what order will depend on the university leadership’s priorities, regulatory conditions, the condition of the buildings, and the institution’s financial situation.
