Most insurance and compensation schemes are coordinated so that you always get disbursed by the scheme that provides the highest amount of compensation.

Group life insurance
If you are employed at OsloMet and have a 20 % position or more, you are entitled to group life insurance (spk.no). This will be disbursed to the survivors when an employee dies. The amount is a lump sum determined by the basic amount of national insurance scheme.

Occupational injury insurance
If you are employed at OsloMet and have a 20 % position or more, you are entitled to occupational injury insurance from the Public Service Pension Fund (spk.no). This ensures compensation if an employee gets injured or dies as a result of an occupational injury and covers any expenses for treatment associated with the injury.
