PLIVO Exercise for Employees

PLIVO Exercise for Employees

In June, rector Christen Krogh decided that all OsloMet employees should complete a PLIVO (Ongoing Life-Threatening Violence) exercise by the end of September.

Based on the experiences from the PLIVO exercise that the leadership teams had in June this year, Rector Christen Krogh decided that all OsloMet employees should undergo a similar exercise.

Managers with personnel responsibilities are responsible for ensuring that the exercise is conducted within their respective units.

Joint implementation

The PLIVO exercise consists of a collective review of an e-learning module and a video from sikresiden.no. The exercise provides insight into how to handle a violent situation if it were to occur and includes collective reflection and discussion in addition to a checklist-based review of individual office spaces.

The exercise will be followed up as part of the security work at OsloMet, and faculties, centers, and divisions are required to submit a summary of their experiences and feedback from the exercise.

Offer from the Occupational Health Service

If you, as an employee, should experience discomfort or have the need to talk to someone after completing the PLIVO exercise, you can contact the occupational health service.

Employees can send an email directly to kundesenter@avonova.no to schedule a conversation.

The email should include:

  • Order number 429703
  • Employee's name
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth, not the social security number

You will then be assigned an appointment time via email and SMS, with information about the meeting place and how to contact if the scheduled time does not work. There is a three-day deadline for canceling appointments.

Each employee has the opportunity to have up to three conversations. The conversations are confidential, and managers do not have access to know who has scheduled and completed conversations with the occupational health service.
