The process for those ordering, approving, and for guests is described in the points below. There you'll find the link to the application form.
Please note that a guest accounts for visits longer than seven days can only be ordered for up to one year from the registration date.

How to order a guest account
Before you order a guest account, it is important to familiarize yourself with the information in this section, which includes:
- What necessary information you must provide about the guest.
- Information about which roles are suitable for your guest.
- Access that an approved guest receives.
- Further procedures after the order has been sent.
- A link to the order form.
- Information on how to proceed if the guest needs to be extended.
Necessary information you need to provide
- First name and last name.
- Date of birth.
- Select role for the guest
- Select the relevant manager who will approve
- Guest's private email address
- Apply from and to dates for the guest stay
- Justification for the request
- If you are ordering a guest for whom a background check has previously been conducted, you must include the case number from P360.
Specify the role the guest will be registered as
- Guest researcher (Should not receive honoraria or salary from OsloMet).
- Guest lecturer (Should not receive honoraria or salary from OsloMet).
- Guest student (Used only for visiting students from collaborating foreign institutions. The student is not enrolled in studies at OsloMet).
- Emeriti
- Senior specialist - other (Former employee/pensioner)
- Simula - OsloMet collaboration
- Grundergarasjen (The Garage of Entrepreneurs)
- Consultant (External consultants working at OsloMet).
- Agency temp
- Craftsman/technician (Craftsmen who need access).
- Cleaning agency (Employees of the cleaning agency who need access).
- Student welfare organization in Oslo (SiO)
- Tenant (Tenant who needs access)
- Supplier (Supplier who needs access)
- External examiner
- External supervisor (External supervisor who needs access to OsloMet’s systems).
- Committee and commission member
- External board member
- Student representatives on the board (Student representatives on boards who need extended access).
- Student chaplain
What access does the guest receive?
- Login on OsloMet PCs.
- IT account with an email account from OsloMet.
- Access card.
- Use of wireless network.
- Accesses will be granted within one hour after the account is activated.
Further procedures
- You will receive an email notifying you that the case has been created.
- You can view the case in My Cases in the self-service portal.
- The manager will receive a request for approval via email.
- You will receive an email confirming that the guest is approved and registered in OsloMet’s systems.
Go to the order form
Request a guest account for more than seven days and up to one year (pureservice.com). You will be directed to the form and must fill in the fields with the necessary information about the guest. Remember that it is only possible to order a guest account for one year from the date of registration!
Extension of the guest account
If you need to extend a guest account, you must submit a new application form with the same information about the guest + role. The extension must be approved. The process is, in other words, the same as the first time.
If you are extending a foreign guest, you must check if the case number is registered in P360 and include this in the application.

How to approve a guest account
As a manager, you will receive an email with a link to the request case in "My Cases" in the self-service portal.
What do you do next?
- Read the reasoning for the request at the bottom of the form.
- Select "Approve" or "Reject" from the dropdown menu.
- Remember to save your choice. You cannot change your decision after saving it.
- If you, as the approver, forget to open the case, you will receive a reminder via email after seven days.

What does the guest need to do?
Once the manager has approved, the guest will receive an email with a link to a form for applying their own personal information.
The guest logs in using Feide/ID-porten and enters their mobile number. Once this is completed, the guest will receive a new email to activate their account.
International guests must provide their gender, mobile number, and passport number manually. Once this is completed, the guest will receive a new email to activate their account.
The central approval authority at HR determines whether the approval complies with the applicable regulations for international guests.
As an approved guest, you will receive
- Access to log in to OsloMet PCs.
- An IT account with your own OsloMet email address.
- Use of the wireless network and a home directory.
- Access card to buildings.
Access will be granted within one hour after the account is activated.

Requirements for guest account for until a year
The prerequisites for using the order form for a guest account beyond seven days and for until a year are as follows:
- It is only possible to order a guest account for one year at a time from the application date.
- Only employees at OsloMet can order a guest account on behalf of a guest.
- Orders must be approved by a personnel manager.
- Accounts that are misused or cause issues will be deactivated without notice.
- General rules for IT accounts must be followed.
- The guest is responsible for saving their own content when the guest relationship ends.

Privacy policy - ordering and creating a guest account
When a guest account is created, access can be granted to various systems and services at OsloMet. The request is submitted via a digital form in the Pureservice system.
Pureservice is a Norwegian company, and data is stored in data centers located in Norway. Pureservice uses Microsoft Azure in Norway as its hosting platform. No data is exchanged across national borders.
