Software

Through the Software Center app, you can install many of the most important programs and tools used for teaching and research.

Software Center is available on all PCs and Macs owned by OsloMet. Here you will find:

• Zoom
• SPSS
• Endnote
• Matlab
• F4/F5 Transcript
• NVivo
• RStudio

You can find a large overview of relevant tools and software in our A to Z list.

• Licensed software that is not available in Software Center must be ordered via IT Service Desk (service-now.com)
• For open source (free software) that is not available in Software Center, report your needs via a separate online form (nettskjema.no) to get admin access for installation.

First check if the software/subscription/system is available for ordering at Sentralen / IT-servicedesk. If this is not the case, proceed to the procedure for clarifying and assessing needs.

Software and systems not listed on our overview at Sentralen / IT-servicedesk (service-now.com) must be acquired in accordance with our procedure for clarifying and assessing needs.

The acquisition of software or systems that require a data processing agreement, have not been previously used at OsloMet, have multiple users, or have a "high" cost should follow this procedure.
