OsloMet offers several tools based on artificial intelligence (AI)

The AI chat developed by the University of Oslo, GPT UiO, is now available to employees and students at OsloMet. The AI tool makes it easy to get help with everything from writing and idea development to analysis and summarisation.

GPT UiO, like Sikt AI and Microsoft Copilot, is approved for yellow data. If you are working with yellow data, these are the tools you should use.

GPT UiO has become increasingly advanced and user-friendly with:

AI assistants – you can build your own chatbot
Improved display of mathematical expressions – useful for teaching and academic explanations
Option to upload files – you can now get help with content in PDFs, spreadsheets and text files
New and simpler conversation interface – with dedicated AI assistants tailored to different needs
Support for the latest language models from OpenAI (GPT 5.0) – faster and more accurate responses

You can find the service at www.gpt.uio.no/en. Log in with your FEIDE user account. GPT UiO is not a replacement for Sikt AI, but a supplement.

Sikt AI chat now Sikt AI

Sikt has also updated its solution. The name has been changed to Sikt AI, and you can create AI assistants based on your needs. From Monday 3 November, Sikt AI introduced new functionality. See the Teams group described below for details.

A new Teams group for AI has also been launched at OsloMet. Here you will find news and updates, and you might both find answers to your questions and help other colleagues.
