Library P48 will temporarily close from 18 September
The libraries in Pilestredet are going to be renovated. Reading spaces will be equipped with power outlets and work lights, and there will be new and improved furniture for the reading spaces, social areas and group rooms.
The libraries in Pilestredet are undergoing a 20 million NOK renovation this semester.
The plans for upgrading the libraries in Pilestredet have been a work in progress for several years, and now they are finally being realised. In close collaboration with the students, and with the good help of Ratio architects, we have created a concept for inspiring, inclusive and sustainable libraries that will be an important contribution to a better learning environment on campus.
This means that Library 48 will be closed from 18 September until the end of February next year. Unfortunately, the reading spaces, group rooms and books will be unavailable until we reopen in the new year. On the library's website you can find an overview of alternative reading places (oslomet.no).
The libraries in P35 and P32 will remain open as usual. These libraries will also get new reading spaces (more information will be provided).
The Learning Support Centre are open as usual, but will be relocated to the library in P32.
AV Equipment and IT Service Desk will be moved to room P372 on the third floor of P48.
