Det er leders ansvar å planlegge introduksjonsperioden. Leder bestemmer selv hvilke andre ressurspersoner, som faddere og andre kolleger, som kan bistå i ulike praktiske gjøremål.

Leader
The leader is primarily responsible for ensuring that new employees are welcomed in a good manner. They must feel welcome and everything must be ready at start-up. The training must be planned and thorough. There should be dialogue about expectations that goes both ways.

- Order washing and preparation of office/ signboard/ mail slot (bie.tjenester.oslomet.no)
- Call the new employee at least one week before starting
- Clarify the need for facilitation
- Set up and prepare equipment
- Give contact information to manager at start-up
- Clarify time and place for start-up
- Make proposals for training plans (.docx)
- Appoint a professional sponsor and possibly a social sponsor
- Contact OMISS when hiring international staff
