All OsloMet employees can take advantage of the sports facilities in the campus buildings, take part in organized team sport and get discount on gyms. Stay in shape with your colleagues!

Doing sports at campus 

There are gym facilities with machines on campus Pilestredet and Kjeller. To enter use your regular entrance card. All gyms are free to OsloMet employees.

There are groups you can join for football and floorball.

Winter activity with skiing classes and summer events are arranged each year. See the What's happening calendar for dates.

All employees at OsloMet who work in a 50 % position or more may exercise up to one hour a week during working hours.

  • Exercise Agreements

    SiO Athletica

    With proof of employment at OsloMet you pay from NOK 319,- per month with a one year agreement and NOK 359, without a one year agreement. With the membership you get access to all six SiO Athletica training centers.

    Access to swimming and training halls, unlimited training classes. Sign up directly at the SiO Athletica receptions.

    SATS 

    Bring your OsloMet employment contract to the nearest SATS center to get 18 per cent company discount off the monthly fee. The closest training center to OsloMet Campus Pilestredet is SATS Bislet. The closest training center to OsloMet Campus Kjeller is SATS Lillestrøm. SATS offers the largest selection of group classes in Oslo, including hot yoga and squash. To find the training center closest to you and book group classes download the SATS app or check the SATS website.

    Friskis & Svettis

    OsloMet has an agreement with Friskis & Svettis that gives you as an employee a 15 per cent discount on membership.

  • Fitness rooms

    Fitness Rooms at Pilestredet

    All fitness rooms have a range of exercise equipment and can be accessed with your OsloMet key-card, except Pilestredet 52 where one has to pay a quota per semester for access (webshop.oslomet.no).

    Fitness Room P32, Plan U2

    Here you can exercise strength and fitness. The room is equipped with power tools, friezes and fitness equipment (treadmill, bicycles, rowing machine, staircaster and crosstrainer / elip machine).

    Fitness Room P42, Room U010

    Here you can exercise strength and fitness. The room is equipped with power tools, friezes and fitness equipment (treadmill, bicycles, rowing machine, staircaster and crosstrainer / elip machine).

    Fitness Room P52, Room F024

    Here you can exercise strength and fitness. The room is equipped with power tools, friezes and fitness equipment (treadmill, bicycles, staircases and crosstrainer / elip machine). To get access to the room, you must pay a contributor per semester.

    In need of a shower?

    For those who use gyms, exercise classes, bikes or are running to work there are wardrobes with showers in the following buildings on the Campus Pilestredet: P46, P42, P44, P32, P35.

    The Fitness Room at Kjeller

    The fitness room on campus Kjeller is open to all students and staff. The room is located in the basement - follow the signs from the changing rooms. You can use the room at any time apart from the daily cleaning time between 10.30 and 11.00. The service is free.

    The room is equipped with treadmills, strength training equipment and spinning bikes.

  • Conditions for exercising during working hours

    1. All employees in a 50 percent position or more may spend up to one hour a week exercising during working hours.
    2. Your opportunity to exercise during working hours is subject to your immediate manager’s permission - also with regard to time. Only in exceptional cases will you be allowed to exercise during core hours (09.00 - 14.30).
    3. The workout must either start or end at the workplace. (You may of course walk to / from the fitness center).
    4. The hour set aside for exercising must be taken advantage during the week in question and cannot be saved up.
    5. The period of exercise is considered as spare time with regards to occupational injury compensation and insurances, and is done at your own risk.
    6. The standards are not too high when it comes to what is considered as exercise. Exercise means some kind of physical activity. It would for example be okay to spend the hour walking to or from the workplace. The activities are adapted to the individual.
    7. You may exercise on your own or together with others. Exercising with other employees is regarded as a working environment-promoting and we encourage this
