Join the Work Environment Survey

How are you doing as an employee at OsloMet? From Monday, January 6, you are invited to participate in the important Work Environment Survey.

The Work Environment Survey among employees at OsloMet is conducted from January 6 to January 27, 2025.

"I want OsloMet to be a good workplace for all employees", says Rector Christen Krogh. He encourages all employees to participate in the survey.

"Your feedback is very important. I hope you all join in developing the work environment that we are all part of", says Krogh.

The survey is sent out by email on Monday, January 6, to employees who have started no later than November 1, 2024, and have a minimum of 40 percent position.

"The results will be an important tool that managers and employees will use together to create and maintain a work environment with well-being and engagement", says the rector.

Further Develop the Work Environment

Topics in the survey are factors that, according to research, build a good work environment, such as a mastery climate, and external and internal motivation.

"Systematically working with the work environment contributes to increased motivation, better health, and less sick leave", says HR Director Randi Stene.

A high response rate provides a good basis for the systematic work with the work environment to succeed.

The responses from all levels of the organization form the basis for preserving what is good and improving areas that should be better. Managers, HR staff, and safety representatives receive training in implementing and following up the survey results and how to drive action work.

All units will continue working with the results from the survey in feedback meetings before the summer of 2025.

Anonymity and privacy are maintained

OsloMet uses the work environment survey ARK. ARK is an abbreviation for work environment and climate surveys. The questions are research-based and developed for and by the university and college sector.

Employees' anonymity is guaranteed. It is our partner, the ARK Secretariat at NTNU, who collects data and prepares reports afterward.

Previous survey spring 2022

The previous work environment survey at OsloMet was in the spring of 2022. The questionnaire has been further developed since then. Some questions have been removed, new ones have been added, and many have been continued.

From 2023, the work environment survey includes questions about unacceptable behavior, such as discrimination, bullying, harassment, violence, and sexual harassment. These questions replace national surveys for the sector in this area.
