Target group
Employees whose mother tongue is not Norwegian, and who have passed the B1 test and wish to prepare for the Norwegian test (hkdir.no).
Content/theme
The course focuses on written and oral language skills, and is thematically related to everyday work in academia. The course also focuses on Norwegian social studies. Relevant textbooks are «Her på berget (2016) (cappelendammundervisning.no), and «Norsk grammatikk. Norsk som andrespråk», theory book and workbook (cappelendammundervisning.no). Other texts will be handed out.
Course days
The teaching takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 09.30 to 12.15, from week 35 to week 43. The first day of classes is Tuesday, August 27, the last day is Tuesday, October 22. Rooms will be announced later. The course concludes with a level test for internal use. From autumn 2024, participants will take the Norwegian test (hkdir.no).
Learning objectives
Norwegian language, written and spoken, at B2 level. The course follows the Council of Europe's level scale for languages (coe.int).
Required prior knowledge
Participants must have passed the B1 test in Norwegian in order to participate in this course.
