Service cars

Service cars

OsloMet has two service cars in campus Pilestredet, and one in campus Kjeller, available to employees for service purposes only.

A three-seater electric van and a five-seater car are available at campus Pilestredet and a three-seater electric van at campus Kjeller are available to employees from Monday to Friday. All cars have dedicated parking spaces and charging stations.

  • Booking

    The cars are registered as resources in Outlook.

    • Book a meeting in Outlook

    • Enter your name and mobile number in the “Title”-field

    • Open the “Required”- field, and search for the car you need (elbil varebil Kjeller, elbil varebil Pilestredet or elbil Kia))

    • Enter the current time period for which the car is to be borrowed

    • After booking, you will immediately receive an email with a message if the booking is approved or not.

    If you wish to use a service car on weekends or in holidays, a request should be directed to Brukerstøtte i Eiendom, contact form "Andre henvendelser".

  • Use of service cars

    • The keys and the logbook are handed out and must be delivered at the Main reception, Pilestredet 46 (8.00-15.00)

    • Upon handing in the keys and logbook after closing, please put these in the mailbox outside the post office

    • All users of the cars must keep a logbook and register:

      • time and mileage at the beginning and end of the drive

      • the purpose of the trip,

      • registration of a any accidents along the way.

    • Please return the car after use according to booking.

    • If you need to deliver it later than agreed upon, contact the Main reception, phone  6723 6000 / 6723 7943.

  • Nice to know about driving an electric car

    • Please use the brake once in a while, instead of just reduce speed by use of the accelerator.
    • Please drive at a steady pace, the range will be heavily reduced by fast and heavy accelerating and speed over 90 km/h.
  • Nice to know about Peugeot electric vans

    • The charging socket is placed by the right front fender.
    • The blue charging cable is placed in a red box in the back of the van. Remember to always put the cable back after use.
    • Plug the cable to the charging station on the wall and secure it with the green key.
    • Always remember to charge the car after use.
    • The battery is full after approx 7,5 hours.
  • Nice to know about Kia electric car

    • The charging socket is placed in the front. Unlock the car, and then open the charging socket.
    • The charging cable is in the back of the car. Remember to always put the cable back after use.
    • Plug the cable to the charging station on the wall and secure it with the green key.
    • Always remember to charge the car after use.
    • The battery is full after approx 10 hours, and the electric range is 450 km.
