  • Kristoffer Eikemo

I am employed as a PhD candidate at the Department of Social Work, Child Welfare and Sosial Policy, where I have been since January 2024. In my PhD project, I investigate whether welfare technology can contribute to better mental health in elderly people living at home, and whether such aids can facilitate extended living at home. I already have a master's degree in political science from NTNU, and have previously worked as a statistics advisor at NAV.

I am running for election of interest in the faculty's affairs, but also in order to safeguard the interests of temporary employees. We are facing a financially strained time for the faculty, and measures must be implemented to reduce costs. I want to work to ensure that vulnerable job groups are protected during this period.

  • Lene Fauskanger

I am a new PhD candidate at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Social Work, Child Welfare and Social Policy since 1 April 2025, but I am not new to the higher education sector. Before I started at OsloMet, I worked for two years as a college lecturer at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) and have throughout these two years worked extensively with restructuring and reorganization – both as an union representative and as a professional employee. This is experience I think is useful to bring into the role as a member of the faculty board, as OsloMet must also find new solutions to meet changes as a result of new framework conditions in the sector.

I am interested in participatory processes and believe in the importance of being responsive to different perspectives on organization and education from students, colleagues, the field of practice and partners. As a member of the Faculty Board, I want to be an active voice in the work to strengthen employee participation and collaboration across departments. I believe that it is possible to exploit the breadth of the study portfolio and expertise at OsloMet and achieve collaboration across subjects and department affiliations, and that this can benefit both staff and students. I think that my background of experience can be useful in the work on the further development of the faculty and OsloMet, and I am running for election as a member of the faculty board. I wish you a good election

  • Cedrik Andersen Lyngroth

I am this study year a representative on the faculty board for the temporary employees at OsloMet. With the help of my experience and knowledge, I want to continue to work for security, welfare and good future prospects for all of us who are temporary employees.

For the past year, I have represented us temporary employees on the faculty board, and hope to be able to use the knowledge I have acquired this year to be able to take care of the temporary employees also in the next period.

We are facing tough financial priorities in higher education, and it is important that we are not forgotten in those budget decisions. With my background from previous positions at both OsloMet and University of Bergen, combined with a broad understanding of economics, through my background in economics and economics and administration, I will work to safeguard the interests of temporary employees in the budget processes.

There are many meeting points between the departments at the faculty, and there is a lot of potential in developing this further. Therefore, I want to contribute to strengthening this area in the coming period. Such meeting points can also be further developed between SAM and SVA. It is important to me that you as a temporary employee feel seen and heard. I have an open door and e-mail, and want to be an accessible and active voice for you. As a representative, I want to be visible and accessible, and work to ensure that the needs of temporary employees are heard in the faculty's decision-making processes.
