Viktoriya Lakatosh Fosdahl
I am temporarily employed at NAFO, LUI and teach mathematics. I have a higher education from the University of Vinnytsia, Ukraine and continuing education from NTNU and UiB. I am running as a candidate because I care about all temporary employees feeling safe, informed and taken care of in their jobs. I want to contribute to a more inclusive and fair working environment – where both professional development and diversity are valued. I have experienced what it is like to be in a temporary position, and I know how important it is to get support, information and opportunities to develop further. As someone with an international background, I know how important it is that everyone is treated with respect and equal opportunities, regardless of background. I am keen to listen, learn and highlight issues that are important to us temporary employees. I hope for your vote and trust, and will do my best to represent us in an open, honest, and committed manner.
Silje Sjøvaag Skeie
My name is Silje Sjøvaag Skeie and I am employed as a PhD candidate at the Department of International Studies and Interpreter Education, where I am working on my PhD on Ukrainian refugees' experiences with inclusion in Norwegian schools. I have a cand.mag from NTNU, a master's degree in education from the University of Oslo, and since I finished my studies in 2003, I have worked with education in the context of aid and emergency aid. During my career, I have held several temporary positions, in the state, the voluntary sector and the United Nations. If I am elected as a representative of the temporary employees on LUI's faculty board, I will work to promote the inclusion of temporary employees in the working environment and work for better predictability in temporary positions. Furthermore, I will work to ensure that temporary workers at all the departments have good opportunities to take on career-enhancing tasks (such as teaching), which can be important for building competence, getting new work opportunities or permanent employment. I have experience from several international boards and offices and find it motivating to be involved in setting long-term goals and priorities. I would like to contribute to promoting temporary employees' working conditions into the work of the Faculty Board.
