Board election at the Faculty of Education and International Studies (LUI)
One member and one deputy member will be elected to the Faculty Board at the Faculty of Education and International Studies (LUI) from among temporarily employed staff in teaching and research positions (UF positions), including PhD candidates. The term of office for the member and deputy member representing temporary staff runs from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2027.
The nomination period for candidates is 13 March – 14 April 2026.
The election will be conducted digitally (valg.oslomet.no) from 18–26 May 2026.
Eligibility for voting and election
Only temporary UF employees in teaching and research positions (UF)can vote, since the elected representatives must come form this group of employees. To be eligible to vote, one must be employed in a position of at least 50 per cent of a full-time position at the institution and have started at the position at least four weeks before the day of the election.
The conditions for those eligible to vote are mostly the same as for voting rights. Notable exceptions include are certain management positions, which cannot serve on the Faculty Board, and employees on absence for work elsewhere.

Electoral roll
All employees eligible to vote are listed in the electoral roll. These employees will receive an e-mail regarding the election, during week 11.
If you are eligible to vote, but have not received the e-mail, please contact the faculty’s election secretary by 27 March. Similarly, if you have received the e-mail, but do not belong in the electoral roll, please contact the faculty’s election secretary by 27 March.
Candidate nomination
To nominate candidates to be deputy members of the faculty board, please fill out the form (in Norwegian, nettskjema.no)
For a nomination to be valid, a candidate must be nominated by three different eligible voters. That is, all three proposers must submit their individual nomination forms.
The candidate can also be one of the proposers. Remember that you can also nominate yourself.
The work language at the Faculty Board is Norwegian.
The nomination closes 14 April 2026 at 23.59.

The candidates you may vote for will be presented on this page prior to the election period.
How to vote
Once the election opens, you may cast your vote. The election starts on 18 May.
Follow the election link (valg.oslomet.no) and log in with FEIDE. Proceed to the election for the Faculty of Education and International Studies and cast your vote.
The election period is 18–26 May 2026.
Elected candidates
The election results will be announced no later than 31 May 2026 on this site.
