Recruiting researchers internationally

The Marie Skłodowska Curie Action Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) at OsloMet is supporting researchers to secure funding for recruiting self-funded research talent as research fellows to conduct excellent research at our university.

For the seventh year in a row, OsloMet’s researchers from the various faculties and research centres have benefited from the support offered through the programme.

Researchers publish their call announcements to invite interested candidates from all over the world to write proposals to apply with them for MSCA-PF funding. Those who succeed in getting funding, come to OsloMet to conduct their research projects under the supervision of OsloMet’s researchers.

Various subject areas

Research proposals from all faculties and centers at OsloMet have been submitted to MSCA-PF at OsloMet over the years. For the call MSCA-PF-2022 our researchers invited candidates to write proposals in research topics such as:

  • Advanced Concrete Structures

  • AI for Cybersecurity

  • Bioinformatics

  • Computational Methods for Civil Engineering

  • Cross border Journalism

  • Digital Divisions and Welfare Provisions

  • Glycobiology

  • Pandemics studies

  • Religious Diversity in Europe

  • Social Assistance

  • Gender and Poverty

  • Social Inequalities

  • Sustainable Societies in the 21st Century

  • Work-Life Boundaries

Through hosting MSCA-PF scholarship holders, the university's international research collaboration network is being expanded. The applicant researchers are experienced postdoctoral fellows linked to  research institutions and through them, collaborative links are established.

“This program is a great opportunity for OsloMet to support its research strategy. We get high quality EU-funded researchers and excellent research projects that have been sanctioned by EU-reviewers to contribute to our research priorities”, says Florissa Abreu, Senior Adviser for External Funding and MSCA Coordinator at the Department of Research and Development.

“We have been getting proposals funded every year and obtaining ten Seals of Excellence in the way.  Currently, OsloMet hosts four MSCA-PF research fellows”, says Abreu.
