My Studies gives students better overview

From January 2026, students will have their timetable, start-of-study checklist, useful tools and services gathered in one place.

At the start of the new year, My Studies will be introduced to give students a better overview of their everyday study life. The service is available as a mobile app and online, providing a single entry point to essential tools.

You can view a demo of the web version from UiO (minestudier.no).

Timetable

The default homepage is the student’s personal timetable, showing teaching sessions, booked group rooms and exams. Students can choose whether the timetable or shortcuts should appear first in My Studies.

Personal shortcuts

  • Students get shortcuts to the most important tools for their studies, such as Canvas, booking group rooms and Studentweb.
  • The default setup includes the most popular shortcuts.
  • Students can edit which shortcuts they want themselves.

Checklist for starting studies and each semester

New students receive a dedicated checklist for starting their studies, including everything they need to do, such as obtaining a student card and arranging a police certificate where required. Each semester, all students receive a checklist for semester registration and paying the semester fee.

Study programmes and courses

In My Studies, students can see which study programmes and courses they are registered for each semester. The lists are retrieved from FS, the common student system.
