The publishing Committee

The publishing Committee

The publishing committee shall make decisions in submitted doubt and dispute cases and is appointed by the R&D committee.

The publication committee for NVI reporting is appointed to decide cases where the parties (ie author of publication, professional guidance and super user) do not agree on how a publication should be registered and reported in Cristin.

There must be agreement when it comes to the following about a publication:

  1. categorization of publications (counting NVI category versus non-counting category)
  2. interpretation and registration of the institutions' addresses stated as author addresses on the publication and interpretation of the author's affiliation with the institution
  3. reporting year

If there is no agreement, superusers can report the case to the publishing committee.

Composition

The R&D committee appoints the four vice-deans for R&D as members. The committee constitutes itself and elects a leader. External expertise can be obtained when needed.

Institutional superuser in Cristin in the central R&D administration is the secretary of the committee. Cases must be reported to the committee secretary by the superusers at the faculty / center.

Disputes

Any disagreement about how a publication should be reported should be clarified as early as possible. The dialogue takes place between researcher, super user and academic leadership at the faculty / center. If there is no agreement between them, the case can be reported to the publishing committee by the super users. In order for the committee to be able to assess the case, sufficient documentation must be submitted.

Registration of dispute

In order to submit a publication to the publishing committee, one must send over a case presentation which contains:

  • postal code
  • presentation of what the disagreement is
  • copy from relevant background material (for example article, relevant rosin pages, relevant chapter, relevant mention from the publisher's website)

Please make sure that everyone involved receives a copy of the message to the publishing committee.
