myPrint and Multifunction Printers (MFP)
About myPrint
The printing solution on OsloMet is called myPrint (queue name: Print-OsloMet on PC). The queue has a network of multifunction printers, and the printout can be retrieved in one of these.
The myPrint machines are fitted with a card reader that reads/authenticates the access card to students and staff. Once you have sent your printout to myPrint, you can print from an optional printer by tapping your card.
Pick-up time: 24 hours
Most of our printers have a print, scan and copy function.
Contact itservicedesk@oslomet.no in case of any problems.
Printer location explanation
Location of printers is as follows: P46-PA497-MFP
- Building: P46 stands for Pilestredet and building 46
- Wing: The letter code after a hyphen (-) stands for the wing in the building, for example wing PA
- Floor: The first number stands for floor, for example the 4th floor in PA_4_97

Problems with printing?
Checkpoints you should have reviewed before contacting the IT service desk if you have printing problems. As an employee, you should first contact Ricoh's service telephone if there is a fault with a Ricoh printer.
PC
All OsloMet PCs must have the queue Print-OsloMet (myPrint) installed. If you use a private PC without Print-OsloMet (myPrint), you can install the myPrint queue at myprint.oslomet.no
Mac
On Macs operated by OsloMet, you download the queue myPrint via the Managed Software Center. If this does not help, notify the IT service desk by e-mail: itservicedesk@oslomet.no.
Out of toner/ink
If a printer is out of toner/ink, contact the service telephone of the printer in question, e.g., Ricoh, see Ordering Toner.
Out of paper
If a printer is out of paper, contact the administration at your department/unit. Paper for printers and faxes is the responsibility of the department.
Printing large files/many pages
If you are printing many pages, it is a good idea to check the printer by first printing the first page. If it comes out, you can print the remaining pages.
Divide print jobs
You may also want to split large print jobs. For example, print pages 1-50, then pages 51-100.
No access to printer
If you do not have access to the printer on your machine, you will need to add the printer again.
If you have recently changed your password, you will not be able to access the printer(s) connected to your personal computer (PC/Mac). The message is usually Server offline or similar. You will then need to add the printer again. Go to the printer/printer installation instructions.
