Relevant courses - Transferrable skills / Career development

As a PhD candidate and in order to prepare yourself for a career beyond your PhD, several skills and competencies are needed in addition to the in-depth knowledge and skills you acquire through the work with your PhD thesis.

OsloMet offers courses in generic skills/transferrable skills that might be useful, both for your ongoing PhD project and as part of your career development. This includes courses in literature serch and reference management, academic writing and writing the introduction to article-based dissertations, as well as an annual “PhD career day”.

Most of these courses do not provide ECTS and most of them are taught in English.
