How does OsloMet contribute to the green transitions shaping our time?
Across the university, researchers and educators are working on climate, energy, biodiversity and resource use, governance, economics, communication, design, professional practice, and societal change. These transitions unfold in different ways across disciplines, reflecting a rich and diverse landscape of expertise across faculties, departments, centres, and institutes.
OsloMet Green Transitions Day 2026 will be a university-wide arena bringing these environments together.
The event aims to:
- Showcase the breadth of green transition research and education at OsloMet
- Connect academic environments across disciplines and organisational units
- Facilitate dialogue between technological, environmental, and societal perspectives
- Strengthen collaboration and reinforce OsloMet’s strategic position as a contributor to green transitions in the Oslo region and beyond
The conference will combine research-based contributions with space for broader dialogue and exchange. It is open to all staff and students at OsloMet, as well as invited external partners.
The programme will be developed in dialogue with the academic community. Researchers, educators, research groups, and initiatives across OsloMet are encouraged to contribute perspectives, projects, and ideas that can help shape the themes and conversations of the day.
The event is planned with participation from OsloMet’s leadership, including the Rector.
