Target group
The primary target group for the course are employees at OsloMet with a first language other than Norwegian, and who have attended a Norwegian language course, level A2 or more, and wish to further develop their oral skills. If places are available, partners may also be admitted. Students will attain good comprehension of the spoken language.
About the course
The main focus of the course is oral language skills: speech, listening, conversation, discussing and pronunciation. Participants are expected to actively participate in dialogues with their colleagues and practice basic Norwegian in conversations connected to common situations in a workday as an academic in a Norwegian university.
Course dates
Classes will be taught on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays week 2 and 3, from 10:30–13.15.
The first course date is Monday, January 5, 2026 at 10.30. Room will be announced later.
Learning outcomes
The goal is to be able to participate in dialogues and joint conversations at a sufficient level of pronunciation such that communication is not hindered.
