The Centre for the Study of Professions invites all interested to attend this open lecture with one of the most influential theorists in contemporary sociology.
In this lecture, Professor Emeritus Randall Collins (University of Pennsylvania) will present his ongoing work on micro-observations in public places. Collins will argue that key aspects of society are revealed through such observations, as people engage in informal sociability to create the building-blocks of larger social networks.
