Target group
Employees with a mother tongue other than Norwegian who have passed the B1, part 1 test, and who want to prepare for the Norwegian test “norskprøven” (hkdir.no).
Content/theme
The course focuses on written and oral language skills and is thematically related to everyday working life in academia. The course also focuses on Norwegian social studies. We follow the progress of the textbook «Stein på stein (2021)», textbook and workbook (cappelendammundervisning.no).
Course days
The teaching will take place on Mondays and Thursdays at 12.30–14.15 pm from week 36 to week 49. The first day of the course is Monday 2 September, the last day is Monday 2 December. Rooms will be announced later. The course ends with a placement test for internal use. From the autumn of 2024, it is planned that the participants will take the Norwegian test “norskprøven” (hkdir.no).
Learning objectives
Norwegian language, written and spoken, at B1 level. The course follows the Council of Europe's level scale for languages: Europarådets nivåskala for språk (coe.int).
Requirements for prior knowledge
Participants must have passed the A2 test in Norwegian and completed B1, part 1 in order to participate in this course.
