Target group
The primary target group for the course are employees at OsloMet with a first language other than Norwegian, and who want to prepare for the Norwegian test “norskprøven” (hkdir.no). If places are available, partners may also be admitted.
About the course
The goal is for the participants to be able to use basic Norwegian, orally and in writing, in social and professional contexts in the workplace. To an increasing extent, the participants should be able to understand what they read and hear and be able to express themselves orally and in writing at a basic level. The course follows the textbook and workbook of På vei (2018) (Cappelendammundervisning.no). The participants are expected to bring these books to all classes.
Course dates
Classes will be taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays week 36-49, from 10:30-12:15. Room will be announced later. The first course date is Tuesday, September 3, and the last day Tuesday December 3.
Learning outcomes
The course follows the progress in the textbook På vei, which covers the subjects of Norwegian and social studies at level A1-A2. The course corresponds to the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages descriptions of A1-level language competencies (coe.int).
