Live streaming
During live-streamed teaching sessions (using tools as Adobe Connect, Zoom and the like), it is basically voluntary for you as a student to participate with image, audio or video. You choose these settings yourself when you connect to the live stream, and you may change them at any time.
Recording teaching sessions
Lecturer’s recording of teaching sessions
Before the start of the course or session you will be informed:
that OsloMet is recording
about the purpose of the recording
where the recording is saved
how long the recording is saved
who can access the recording
how the recording is distributed
about the legal basis for the processing of personal data (the General Data Protection Regulation, Art. 6 no. 1 letter e), cf. no. 3 letter b), cf. §§ 1-3, 3-8, 4-2 and 4-3 of the Norwegian University and College Act)
Your own recording of teaching sessions
For privacy reasons, you are not advised to record any teaching sessions yourself. If you still want to record, the following applies:
Before you start recording, you must ask the consent of everyone who participates. You must state:
the purpose of the recording
where the recording is saved
how long the recording is saved
who can access the recording
how the recording is distributed
that any individual may withdraw consent at any time
Note that not all tools allow you to start recording if you do not host the meeting.
