Project Internationalisation

Increasing internationalisation of education and research has been a priority area at OsloMet since 2015. This priority is in line with international and national conditions for the field and is also adopted in goal 3 of OsloMet’s Strategy 2024.

As a result of OsloMet’s increasing focus on internationalisation, “Project Internationalisation” was established in 2016.  Vice-Rector for Education, Nina Waaler was the Project Owner. The Rectorate functioned as the Steering Committee and Benedicte Solheim, Head of Section for internationalisation (UTD) was the Project Manager.

A working group including representatives form the faculties, the Student Parliament, The Centre for the Study of Professions (SPS), The Centre for Welfare and Labour Research (SVA), the HR and R&D administration were all central in the development and implementation of the project. The total budget limit was 7,45 million NOK.

The project period was from 2016-2017 and the project was organised in five sub projects:

1)      Strategic plans and processes

2)      Internationalisation of programme descriptions

3)      Internationalisation for academic staff

4)      The use of parallel language (bilingualism)

5)      Student mobility

The final reports of the project will be published on this website.
