The occupational health service

The occupational health service should advise employers and employees and contribute in the work with preventive health, environment and safety.

OsloMet is required to have an occupational health service (BHT) in accordance with the provisions of Section 3-3 of the Working Environment Act and the Regulations on Organization, Management and Employee Participation, Chapter 13. BHT shall assist the employer, employee and safety representative in their work to create safe and healthy working conditions.

BHT has compulsory attendance in the working environment committee. The occupational health service must have a free and independent position.
