HiOA has a tradition of global cooperation. The college can help with research and research collaboration within a global development perspective. There are several opportunities for academic cooperation and external financing for the academic environments at HiOA

Funding sources for research and research cooperation outside of Europe

NORHED - The programme will strengthen the capacity of higher education institutions in low and middle income countries so that these may produce  more and better graduates, and produce an increased amount of quality research conducted by the country's own researchers.

EU external cooperation programmes ((for cooperation with countries in Asia)  - EU also announces funding for cooperation between European countries and Asia. Norwegian environments participate in line with EU member states.

Horizon 2020 - Researchers from all over the world participate in Horizon 2020, read more under EU support.

The Grant Base provides information about mobility grants from the Research Council and other actors; who can apply, what can you apply for and how much you can get. The base primarily covers Norway's geographical focus areas for research collaboration.
